“A one-party state is not possible in Zimbabwe, you have to slaughter millions of people to reach it,” Gwenhure added. “There is no dream of a one-party state in a country of more than 100 opposition parties. Unless you monopolize the opposition room than Nelson Chamisa, whose career died of his own mistakes,” Kandishaya told Anadolu Agency. Although Chamisa challenged the 2018 elections under the MDC alliance, Zimbabwe`s Supreme Court ruling this year effectively stripped the supreme opposition leader of his claim that the country`s main group ceded the reins to the MDC to its arch-enemy, Thokozani Khupe. Khupe had participated in the elections under another MDC group and lost a lot after obtaining only 45,000 votes.
